Punggol EC Residents to Benefit from New Bus Service Launched

A new bus service was launched in Punggol yesterday to provide residents with better connections to the local MRT station and bus interchange, as well as to a new Safra clubhouse set to open later this year. This benefits nearby executive condo residents such as those from The Terrace EC, Waterwoods EC, Amore EC, The Vales EC and Bellewaters EC.

Bus 382G/W is operated by SBS Transit and will run every eight to 12 minutes from 5.35am to 12.35am every day.

Service 382G is a loop route that starts from the Punggol temporary bus interchange and calls at Punggol Field, Sumang Walk, Sumang Link, Sentul Crescent and Punggol Place before making its way back to the interchange.

Service 382W, which also begins its route from the temporary bus interchange, operates in the opposite direction from 382G, before returning to the interchange.

The new routes are being introduced under the Government’s $1.1 billion Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP), which started in 2012.

Some 700 new buses have been put on the roads since then, and 300 more will be added over the next two years .

As part of the BSEP, two new bus services – 117 and 118 – were added last month to improve links to Punggol.

Bus 117 is a trunk route from Punggol to Sembawang via Seletar Aerospace Park and Yishun, while 118 is a trunk service from Punggol to Changi Business Park via Tampines.
