Increase in the number of resale transactions

SINGAPORE: Resale prices of Housing and Development Board (HDB) flats remained unchanged in the second quarter of the year compared to the previous quarter, despite an increase in the number of resale transactions, according to figures released by HDB on Friday.

Resale transactions increased by 31.2 per cent, from 4,449 cases in the first quarter to 5,838 cases in the second quarter, while the Resale Price Index (RPI) for the second quarter remains at 134.7, the HDB said. Upcoming executive condo include Treasure Crest and Northwave EC while existing ones include The Terrace EC, Brownstone EC, The Visionaire EC, Parc Life EC , Waterwoods EC, Signature at Yishun, Skypark Residences, Wandervale EC, The Vales EC, The Criterion EC, The Amore EC,  Bellewaters EC, Bellewoods EC.

 The index provides information on the general price movements in the resale public housing market.

The HDB added that it plans to launch about 4,800 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in August in Hougang, Sembawang, Tampines and Yishun.
